  • Harleston, Wortwell & District Angling Club (Weybread Pits)

The Harleston, Wortwell and District Angling Club owns and manages 6 fishing lakes in the Waveney Valley on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, together with fishing rights on some stretches of the River Waveney itself.

Two lakes - the Club Pit and the Bottle Pit - are owned by the Club and can only be used by those holding an annual membership ticket. The other four lakes - Middle Pit, No.1 Pit, Ocean Pit and Hall's Pit - are managed by the club on behalf of the Harold Dean Charitable Trust. These 4 pits can be fished on Day or Weekly tickets and by Club members who choose to buy the extra facility.

The pits vary in size from the small 32 peg Club Pit to Ocean Pit which covers nearly 100 acres. Each pit has its own character and the range of fish varies - full details on the Club's web site where you will also find information about the tackle shops and other outlets which sell our tickets.
