  • Stroud & District Angling Club

The club has been established for over 50 years and has grown to a membership in excess of a hundred members. In 2013 the club extended its fishing rights on the Stroudwater Canal to include the full stretch from Brimscombe to Ebley Mill, some 4 miles of canal. Although some sections are still to be restored by the Canal Trust, there are still plenty of sections that have been restored and are fishable. The section at Ham Mill, Thrupp remains the popular match stretch having some 25 pegs with platforms.

The lake at Stratford Park still holds a good head of carp to 20lbs+ and with a good stock of silver fish remains extremely popular with all members.
