    The Fishery:
    Wylands fisheries offers exceptional facilties to the angler including on-site parking, night fishing, camping, caravaning, self catering chalets (sleep 2) static caravans (sleep 6), a snack bar, tackle shop, male, female and disabled toilets and some beautiful county walks. The lakes between them hold carp to 36lb, catfish to 58lb, bream to 9lb, tench to 9lb, roach and rudd to 3lb, some huge crucian carp to 4lb+ and huge perch to nearly 5lb.


    Field Lake - a small lake with mainly small carp, but run to 24lb, barbel and roach.
    House Lake - a popular lake located next to the café, tackle shop and toilets, stocked with carp 28lb, a good head of skimmers and roach, chubb, barbel and gudgeon and quality perch to 3lb+.
    Middle Lake - a 1 1/2 acre lake thought by many to be the best alround lake with a good head of 20lb carp to 28lb, tench, roach, rudd, bream and lots of 2lb perch.
    Old Specimen Lake - a circular shaped 3 acre lake with 2 islands, a good runs water with lots of double figure carp and quality tench.
    New Specimen Lake - a 2 acre lake with an island in the middle, carp to 32.5lb and lots of good roach.
    Kell Lake - a secluded lake located in woodland in the corner of the fishery, carp to 34lb.
    Rosies Lake - a 2 acre round shaped lake, ideal for match anglers and juniors, lots of carp, crucians to 3lb, tench roach and rudd.
    Snake (Match) Lake - a water specially designed for the match angler and large matches match weights during the summer regularly top 100lb.

    Maisies Lake- specifically stocked as a catfish water with 62 catfish to 58lb and stunning looking commons to over 20lb, the only lake on the complex that requires booking as the lake is limited to a maximum of 8 anglers.

    Please note: National Rod Licences are compulsory and can be obtained from the tackle shop. (Full £27, Concession £18, Junior (12-16) £5. Temporary licences: 1 day £3.75, 8 day £10).

    No fishing without a national fishing licence.
    No fish to be removed from or brought onto the centre.
    No barbed hooks.
    No keepnets (except in booked matches).
    All nets to be dipped in the tanks provided before fishing commences.
    No fish to be lifted above knee height.
    No fish to be kept in carp sacks.
    No noise or running about on the banks.
    No unattended fishing gear to be left in swims.
    No rubbish, line etc to be left in the swims when you leave.
    No cars parked or left; outside of official areas.
    No speed in excess of 5mph on farm tracks.
    No swimming.
    No radios.
    No bait boats.
    No open fires.
    No barbecues without prior permission; and they must be raised above the ground so as not to burn the grass.
    No climbing over farm fences and gates.
    No trespassing in or around farm buildings.
    Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
    Always use unhooking mats.

    Bait Bans:Tiger Nuts and Peanuts.

    Catfish Rules:
    In addition to the rules and regulations stated above, those wishing to fish on Maisies Lake must adhere to the following rules:

    Fishing on our catfish lake must be booked in advance.
    2.5lb test curve rods minimum.
    All equipment to be inspected prior to fishing.
    Nets, mats, slings, to be disinfected in dip provided before fishing.
    42 inch landing net minimum.
    5ft mat size minimum.
    Barbless hooks only, no micro barbs or crimped barbs.
    15lb line minimum.
    No braid on the mainline.
    No bent hook rigs, single hooks only.
    Maximum casting weight 3oz.
    Back leads to be used.
    No keep nets or sacks to be used.
    No live baiting under any circumstances.
    No lure fishing.
    No fish to be held above knee level.
    Fishing on designated areas numbered 1-8 only.
    Anglers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
    No beach caster rigs.
    2 rods maximum.
    No fixed leads.
    No rods to be left unattended at any time.
    Anglers must leave their swims promptly at the end of their session.
