Taswood Lakes is situated about 5 miles south of Norwich, nestled in the Tas Valley, Flordon in the heart of the Norfolk countryside. We are perfectly situated just a ten minute drive from the city of Norwich, just a short drive from the Norfolk Broads and the charming Norfolk coast making a stay in a lodge at Taswood Lakes the perfect location for great fishing and to explore what the county has to offer. The complex comprises of eleven lakes beside the River Tas in the heart of Norfolk and offers the best coarse and carp fishing available on a day ticket in the region. In 2010 we introduced two gorgeous lakeside lodges available for weekly rent. In 2012 we shall be opening a new reception centre and tackle shop. We have four main carp lakes, Spring, Grove, Heron & Broadwing, all of which are available to fish on a day ticket. The current Carp record was set last year on the Broadwing Lake, where the ghost carp named the 'lady of the lake' was caught weighing in at a massive 41lb 3oz. Ticket prices are currently £10 for a day ticket 7am to 6 pm and £10 for 6pm to 7 am, making it basically £20 for 24 hours to catch that fish of a lifetime! The complex has comfortable swims with excellent access for disabled users, along with toilets, shower facilities, and ample car parking. We also boast a tackle, bait and general convenience shop on site and all this in idyllic and peaceful surroundings. We are always on hand to provide advice on the latest catches and tactics and baits that are working well. Our fully stocked tackle shop will mean you will be able to pick up the right bait and stock up on the latest tackle as we are agents for all the leading manufacturers. Korda, Fox, Dynamite, Sensas etc. The carp lakes have all been stocked differently to ensure whatever type of specimen hunter you are, there will be a lake just right for you. With Spring and Grove being our 'Runs' waters, then Heron heavily stocked with 20s and 30s and Broadwing with 30s and 40s. On the coarse side, every season, catches in excess of 100lbs are recorded, comprising of specimen Tench, Roach, Chub and Bream not to mention the Carp for which Taswood has made its name. Like the carp lakes all our coarse lakes are well stocked and contain a variety of species to cater for all types of angler; Tench lakes, mixed pleasure lakes. match style carp lakes, whatever your mood we have got the fishing to suit. There are 2 stunning holiday cottages situated within the Taswood grounds overlooking the beautiful well stocked Osprey lake. The lodges have been named Osprey and Kingfisher. Osprey has been designed to cater for the disabled angler, with sloped access, larger doorways and a modern wet room. Kingfisher still has the same excellent facilities and wet room bathroom. Two bedrooms- each equipped with two single beds that can be pushed together if required but are spacious enough to cater for up to 4 anglers. All bedding is provided.
